We have recently partnered with Tracy's Method of Teaching, IN THE JAM, to offer our teaching on the road and wherever you want us to!
IN THE JAM is a weekend camp. We offer 14-18 hours of workshop instruction and activities. We offer a combination of large and small group workshops, instrument specific and 1 to 1 workshops, a ‘House Concert’ and lots of jamming time!
This camp offers students the opportunity to:
1. Learn how to jam with fellow jammers
2. Improve your overall skills and abilities
3. Increase your ability to effectively lead songs
4. Take your performance skills to the next level
5. Learn vocal and harmony singing techniques
6. Enrich the jamming possibilities in your community
7. Fund raise for your vision
8. ...and more!
IN THE JAM is a travelling camp, we come to your community! Having us come to you helps keep your expenses down and that drives the fun factor up!
How you get an IN THE JAM to your area is by becoming an ITJ Camp Coordinator. The IN THE JAM camp coordinator plays an integral role in establishing the format of the camp. YOU are the expert in your community and we want to draw from your expertise to ensure a successful camp!
One of our goals is to support your existing jam community in growing its numbers. Whether that’s through getting folks out during the long days/months of winter, or providing an opportunity for someone to learn a new instrument or skill. We want to connect lone jammers with existing groups and facilitate growing jam groups in your community.
This type of camp is suitable for most age and skill levels. We will sometimes group folks so that they will get the support/instruction that they need. We are open to working with various groups ranging from youth groups to workplace retreat weekends!
It’s important to us that we offer a means to ‘give back’ to you and your community. Therefore, IN THE JAM instructors will perform a 2 set House Concert for the workshop coordinator or coordinating group. The funds raised at the house concert will be directed to the coordinator for use as he/she determines.
